No - even though from a quick wikipedia check I gather that they have a few similarities - my icon is actually from the comic book Jeremiah, by Hermann, which was the basis for the Jeremiah TV series. The comics are sooo much better than the show, though: It takes place in a post-racial-wars-apocalyptic America, and it's main characters are Jeremiah and his amoral friend Kurdy, who are a kind of postmodern cowboys. It's a slashier, grittier Firefly, in a way - a mix between apocalypse, western and sci-fi, wonderfully told and drawn, and heaven for the angst'n'grit loving slasher :D
