I really enjoyed this. I really liked your imagining of what the hell Shaun's mysterious book was about, and Zach's compulsion to sneak away and read it. And keep buying and then getting rid of copies. His mind frame at that time was surely so curious yet...too much for him to know what to do with. I love how Zach's mixed emotions are depicted. I wonder if he'll ever reveal any of this to Shaun.
