Vancouver

After Billy's gone to L.A. Joe starts having these really life-like dreams: Billy flipping him the bird and walking away. Billy closing his door and locking it behind him. Billy saying "no" and throwing punches.

Recaps, really. Brutal, but sane. No need to get the psychology text book out for those.

But then he dreams about Billy crouching over his headstone, putting a hand to the grass, saying "I miss you."

He wakes up disgusted with his own morbidly self-indulgent mind.

And that's when he decides, fuck it, enough of this misery, and starts working on the reunion tour.

The thing about Duck MacDonald

Ten Things About Duck MacDonald by [info]isiscolo

Duck came into the store needing a new kitchen faucet. Alex offered to come help install it. Just to be friendly - but also because he got a vibe.

It worked out for a while. Duck was handsome, a 'straight' gay guy like himself, although Alex doubted that Duck had made a conscious choice about it.

Duck was really quiet. A nice change at first. He was happy to just sit back and listen for long stretches of time. Thrillingly physical in bed.

But after a while it got old. They never had a fight. Even their break-up was silent.

It wasn't so much the tux, John decided, as it was Rodney in a tux. And it wasn't just Rodney in a tux, it was Rodney looking comfortable and self-assured, drink in hand, wearing a tux.

John himself was used to uniforms and military paraphernalia, and being in the dress uniform was second nature to him. Rodney, on the other hand, usually fumbled guns and fidgeted in tac wests, uniforms and formal wear. And John had no problem with that.

But right now Rodney was deep in conversation, one hand on his back, one hand holding a glass of champagne, and John found himself unable to not stare at Rodney in his tailor made, expensive looking tuxedo. He felt a lately all-too-familiar heat spreading in his belly.

As if he could sense that he was being watched, Rodney's eyes scanned the room and finally met John's. Rodney looked at him, and then really looked at him, his gaze sweeeping over him from head to toe - taking in the dress uniform. Suddenly Rodney's calm demeanor changed, and he tugged at his bow tie, swallowing convulsively. Even from where he was standing, John could see him flushing slightly.

Huh. So maybe Rodney felt the same way about his uniform. Interesting.

John let Rodney look his share, before he did his own, deliberately obvious appraisal, and grinned when Rodney once again reflexively tugged at his tie.

These are all great, but I love the onrushing train wreck of the first one especially.
